1. I love my new 50mm f/1.4 lens. It allows me to take pictures like this which I took in my tent last weekend while backpacking, by the light of my headlamp. The depth of field control is amazing and as you can see it performs admirably in low light.
Related thought - I also love my tiny graph paper Moleskine journal (pictured). It's the perfect lightweight companion to travel.
2. Playing soccer in 90-degree weather is exhausting. But worth every moment.
3. Replacing your car battery sucks. It's a little harder than replacing your camera battery. Especially when you beg a stranger for a jump start, go to the auto parts store, keep the car running and nervously buy a new battery with one eye on your idling car, drive home, turn off the car and realize the new battery is the wrong size.
4. jealouscomputers.com is a great idea executed impeccably
5. Is it irresponsible (in green terms) to keep a newspaper delivery subscription? Maybe I should cancel. And magazines?
6. Cupids and cherubs are actually dead babies. At least that what someone told me.

"I like diversity" = good; "I like Asian people" = getting into weird territory
8. I really dislike radio in Denver (though I am an NPR junkie and listen to the local affiliate a lot. But that doesn't count, it's commercial free!). Every time I give it a chance I'm disappointed. Sticking with internet radio and iTunes instead. Spoiled by KCRW when I lived in LA.
9. It's time to do some more outreach for Coffee Mornings here in Denver.
10. Looking forward to looking over the presentations from Interesting 2007 that have been uploaded.
